FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Question: Can you add more scoops to save even more time like the other brands?

Answer: You can indeed add more scoops to increase the setting speed of our quick set plaster accelerator. However, we advise not using more than 1.5 scoops, as it will set very fast. As long as you work quickly to lay on and trowel up, you should achieve great results!

Question: How much do you add in for a bag?

Answer: For the MultiFinish, use 1 scoop per 25 kg to achieve an approximate setting time of 2 hours.

Question: How many scoops are in the 5kg tub?

Answer: In a 5KG bucket of our Quick Set Plastering Accelerator, you'll get approximately 50 scoops.

Question: What is a 'greasy' set?

Answer: A "greasy set" in plastering refers to a condition where the plaster does not set properly and remains soft or greasy to the touch. This can be caused by several factors:

  • Contamination: The presence of oil, grease, or other contaminants on the surface or in the mixing water can prevent the plaster from setting correctly.
  • Environmental Conditions: High humidity or low temperatures can affect the setting process, potentially causing a greasy finish.

In summary, a greasy set is an undesirable condition that indicates the plaster has not set as intended and remains tacky or soft.

Question: Why not just buy sachets?

Answer: 1kg of our product equals 10 scoops, which is the same as 10 sachets. Our 1kg tub is only £14.99, while 10 sachets typically cost around £40 RRP. By choosing the tub, you save money and reduce plastic waste! Don't just take our word for it, check out the reviews from our customers on our website.

Question: Is there anywhere I can buy this off the shelf so I don’t have to pay delivery charges?

Answer: Unfortunately not! But if you sign up for our email list on our website, we sometimes send out emails to notify our customers about free delivery for a limited time.
