Yes, you can increase the dosage to speed up the setting time of the Quick Set Plaster Accelerator.
However, we recommend not exceeding 1.5 scoops per 25kg bag, as the plaster will set very quickly.
If increasing dosage, make sure you are prepared to lay on and trowel promptly to maintain finish quality.
❓ Can I use Quick Set Accelerator For Bonding Plaster?
Yes, you can use our Accelerator to increase the setting time of bonding plaster. Please use the same instructions as used with multi-finish.
❓ Can I use Quick Set Accelerator With Hardwall?
No, we do not recommend it.
❓ How much additive should i use per bag?
For MultiFinish plaster, use 1 scoop per 25kg bag to achieve an approximate setting time of around 2 hours.
You can fine-tune dosage slightly depending on temperature and working conditions.
❓ How many scoops are in a tub?
A 5kg tub of Quick Set Plaster Accelerator contains approximately 50 scoops when using the supplied scoop.
Actual usage may vary slightly depending on scoop consistency.
❓ What is a “greasy set”?
A greasy set refers to plaster that does not set correctly and remains soft, tacky, or greasy to the touch.
Common causes include:

A greasy set is undesirable and usually indicates that the plaster has not cured as intended.
